Although called sports injury management devices, these devices will provide pain relief and support for a variety of conditions, be they sports related injuries or conditions related to arthritis.
These devices will provide support to an affected area so the patient may continue day-to-day activities during the recuperation period after an injury or to provide support for a weakened joint or area.
These devices require fitting to provide appropriate support for the affected area. A proper fitting device will allow healing with less discomfort. When arthritic joints are painful and inflamed a supportive device will allow the area to be supported in a resting position allowing the patient more comfort.
These are usually prescribed by a health care professional.
